« A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Woman - Tokyo » has been long-listed for the Women in Art Prize, in the Eve Arnold Award for Photography category.
This self-portrait is considered my first work ever. It made me an artist, switching sides from object to author.
This piece is deeply personal to me, and receiving this news was a moment of pure joy. Thank you @women_in_art__ & @womeninartprize__ for this recognition, and to everyone who has supported this project along the way. 🖤

I am very excited to participate in DOOM TIME, doom-scrolling, negative bias and social impacts – an immersive, dark-dystopian group exhibition that creates a deliberately off-putting space and hits you with sensory overload. It stirs up fear, exhaustion, and unease – just like the emotional burnout from endless negative news and doom-scrolling on social media.
